The Quest (club edit)

I woke up with a constructive comment from FlashyJ and started working on an edit. As FlashyJ recommended I gave the song more dance power. A bassline is added, the structure changed a little bit, and some synth's were added. While you are reading this I'm working on the breaks cause they are to soft and empty. Let me know if you like the id's in this new version.

Sweet! Really like the instrument that starts somewhere around 3m30s.

Hey, I have to admit, I dont really like the trancy texture you've added, especially those strings near the end of the track. The sound of it is very out of date i think, and it's definitely a bit to repetitive. Another remark which crossed my mind was that the composition is very 'forward', very 'linear' (if you know what i mean...). Maybe by adding a detail here and there you could do the trick (for me... :) ) Btw: i really like the original, it's one of your best, and it has a big deal of potential imho. Greetz & thumbs up!

Cool ! A nice step you made there. Now the next mission would be to correct the levels , some instruments sound too loud, some are drowing under others, so you have to correct this. I would mute that funky organ, definitely sounding too much house imho. The bassline is cool and may need some EQ to make it fry in the hi-end frequencies. about filling the track, maybe you could put some fx here and there... and think about reverb, stereo delay and such stuff ! they really help to get an awesome broadness from a really thin melody ! Check out what i did today in the In construction zone ( J-projjekt - aftp v3 ) it's much more harder but could give you some ideas about effects or structure ! Greetz :)
