well, ive been listening to electronica for a while.. but recently ive been getting into creating my own music etc. i just purchased a macbook, and have been fooling around with garageband, but its missing so much things. what are some things that i will need to get into recording and creating songs. software, hardware, mics, etc. thanks alot -mateo

ahh, im on the right path i bought myself reason 3.0 this morning and  this morning i was using it and playing with a lot of the  random synths etc. and then about 5 hours later after school, i opened up reason, and no sound was coming out of my speaker, when i press play, it just lights up for  .5 sec. then nothing... anyone know whats going on?

Propellerheads software called Reason 3 is a really good start.

Make sure the instrument is selected correctly. There is a picture of piano keys next to the instrument name that must be selected.
