When browsing through the users list you can easily notice that there several artist from the same region...

Warbaby, Deejay Taff , DJ Black and Leaders Come are from Dublin for instance, without necessarly knowing each other...

If I rember well there are also several members from London and Sussex... If you don't want to browse all the profiles... use the search function! ;)

As some of the major goals in electrobel are local collaboration and networking... try to set up things, gigs, shows, sets... together!

Everybody knows people, things, locations... put your skills together.

If you want to call your gigs an "ELECTROBEL EVENT" (which would be really appreciated, coz it would promote artists and community) all (or at least most) artists should be electrobel members. Nethertheless, for quality reasons and to prevent abuse, please introduce the event to our admins and ask for permission to use the electrobel label.

Same as for you usual gigs, or news or whatever,,, feel free to promote them on the other electrobel platforms... using passport login!

So... let's collaborate!!!! 8)

well, we were at Frazers few times, but it's a bad venue with bad reputation and we didn't like it...just that it was cheap. The size was kind of ok, cause the music we're playing there is not the most popular. (industrial/noise). then we've got place at Carnival in Wexford street, but it appears that they don't have late license and they're open till 1 am only. We don't need a big venue. not yet at least. We can't pay big money for the rent and there won't be too many people. any suggestions?

No possibility for a coproduction?

From what I understand UK is a pretty hard place to get anything going, most venues try to make you use their 'pay to play' kind of method, which IMHO is one of the worst ways of organising an event since every night bands/projects will need to make their friends come along to actually get some of their money back. Venues support this by stating their bills are way too high in the UK (which I can marginally comprehend, but when I was looking at possible events in the UK I was disgusted at how much some young bands were being used).

Venues should be able to offer you some kind of collaboration deal for a first event or few events; Just a try-out and if they're happy with it they could start to cough up some small budgets. It often works out; My organisation did try-outs at 100 euro and we get a lot more now since the crowd reacted positively (and wa numerous).

True, noise/Indus might be a bit tricky; At least in that area, I suppose it's not that viable.
