cap'tain slappies swingthing is a a typical eddie style deep house track. Deep grooves, sweet vibes... and always a rhodes on top ;-) Anyway, I made the track a couple of months before posting. mmmm sweet.... love it... makes me think of cocktails, swimming pools, hot chicks and a lot of sun... so in these cold cloudy times... thats a good result greets
I think this is the 3rd time I'm listening... The first 2 times I thought there was way too much use of the acoustic guitar melody. But now it doesn't seem to bother me anymore. It's a jolly feelgood song. The sun is shining through the window and even though it's cold outside, the sunrays falling through the glass make it warm inside my home, and this song warms my heart at the same time. Juicy feelgood tune. I think you'll probably agree with me that musically there ain't that much of anything innovative to the song (not to offend you of course) but that it's just a jolly happy tune and I suppose that was the purpose after all...
Yea! We don't hear him a lot... but when we do... it kicks ass! :) Really nice man, as you say, one of your better track, maybe even your best... Structure sounds controlled & pro, as it should be... Dig the elements you got present in the track... Some nifty jazzy rhodes, a lovely guitarmelo, some accompagning fx... A nice vocal would do fine on this track imo... Again, excellent work! I hope we'll hear more of you in 2008! Keep 'm comming! Grtz
