n° 03 of 05 ... ast month, i started to work on a project i abandoned a few years ago where i was asked to write some music for a theater play in co-op with the Ghent based Chinese Art Foundation ... it's was monologue with a lot of interaction between the actor and the images/pieces of film that are projected in a 360° circle all around him and the audience and that represent his thoughts ... the play is about the everyday life of an ordinary guy living and working in a cement-factory in Beijing who overhears a conversation between 2 of his superiors discussing the gruesome torture of a good friend and colleague of his ... due to circumstances, i never got the chance of doing the performance back then, but i figured i might just as well finish what i started. this track should have been incorporated in the opening scene
