Ok, this one needs some variation in the beats. But I'm satisfied with bass and melodie. Let me know what you like and dislike...
reminds me of a lunapark...and I mean that in a good way ;) the beat is good : self made? Like the sounds at 3.14 and yeah as you noticed yourself : consistant.
what do you mean with self made? :) the break is ripped from an old funk plate, the kick, snare, hihats,... are samples from various drumkits, eddited and layerd... bassline and most of the other sounds are made with z3ta and some plugins for extra effects...

This isn't bad at all. The melody sounds nice, the bassline is also not bad, it could be a bit deeper (maybe add a subb bass with it?)
i like your bass but as you said, variations on the beat is the only thing missing i guess...
more sustain in the piano, i think, for the intro. very good sounds of beat ! just need rythmic variations... add some "binary" cymbals, sometimes... maybe... 4:30 : needs variations
