i was going to put this tune in the experimental section, 'cause it was founded on a rythm-experiment, but in the end it feels more like downbeat to me, so here it is... i wonder if anyone will like this (it's a bit far from usual and pretty disturbing)
once again a class production from mist. i really like your stuff. You always seem to be able to create a special vibe in your tracks. What equipment do u use? (btw the sax and contra bass are smp ? of you did it yourself?) grtz en respect
thanks eddie ;) i only use fruityloops for now. (and wavelab) the sax is cut out of a longer solo, origin unknown. the contrabass is a single note i sampled and formed a basssline with. my 'studio' would need some upgrades to record live instruments... cheerz
Starts out really really nice :D one can't tell you're using samples at all. but after a minute or 3 I just can't focus any longer and it begins to sound a little dull. Ofcourse that's just my humble opinion..
+ Good choice of sounds, nice composition and very good 'vibe'. - I'd go easier on the reverb, especially on the percussive part (snares and cymbals) and turn up the volume slightly to put it more in front of the mix.
