Recorded Live @ Home. live tweaking, muting, mixing, sequencing, and "singing". the melodies are midi loops i play by muting the different layers on my sequencer. and i tried my new compressor for the first time on the drums + sidechaining for ducking effect on the synth. used gear: alesis mmt-8 sequencer electribe r mk2 roland sh-32 (lead) yamaha tx81z (sub bass) behringer compressor MAM VF11 vocoder you'll hear lots of 90's and 80's influences. first comments i got from friends is that it sounds very ninties. comments are welcome. thank you for listening!
no comments? well, i must say, for a live recording, FAT one mate, really... your bass could be deeper, but iam listening on headphones...idea and concept r great, maybe work out in your sequencer and add some automations
nice!
nice vocoder !!
i hear some overcompression i think, the kick and bass interfere with eachother... try some eq, find the peak frequencies of the kick and cut them out of the sub and vice versa, the mix will open up instantly.... ideas are cool, no doubt...
