for lovers of ambient (and westerns) only "There he lays, wounded and broken down. His fellows are shot and killed, his horse has fled and a summerstorm pours upon him like never before. Hiding behind a rock and inside a small cabine - to stay out of sight - he knows... He is bleeding, desperate and knows it is the end. The last outlaw dies... slow evolving track (that doesn't really start before the 2 minute marker... take your time to listen to the whole song for the right atmosphere. close your eyes, put on your headphones and dream away... (too bad there is a glitch around 1'50"... I know)
or is it the lack of sucking that makes them suck? anyway, thx for the comment.
haha, well, didn't look at it like that yet but it's an interesting remark - maybe I'll do so. I'm glad you liked it.
thumbsa uppa !
most westerns suck this track not :)
Yeah, the description fits this song. Very good 'dying' atmosphere. I like those small spacy sounds starting around 4'40"...I don't really have any remarks left, actually. Maybe you could play a bit with the panning of those tiny percussions at the end? Ni-i-i-i-ce one.
Chill... Excellent track for calmly waking up on this saterday(morning) :) Like the image you've given me with the introduction... I had in my head during listening & the track does fit on it... Good job again! Grtz
Always enjoy a spacy synth like the one you're filtering here (e.g. 2'37" and further on). About the percussion towards the end, I mean the "tss tss trrrrrr" stuff, the "trrr" sounds a bit like a rattlesnake, but I think it could be interesting to mix that sound with an actual sample of a real rattlesnake. After all, it's a desert/western we're talking about.
I know what you say.. but it wasn't meant to sound like marriachi... More like Ennio... I once heard a rock version of his "once upon a time in the west - the man with the harmonica" and the guitars just sounded like that. Thx for commenting...
Strings are nice, sfeerke is ook nice. But the instruments that seems a replica for marriachi guitar should be more to the bone, deeper, louder and more resonated and delayed imo. But the strings allthough typical are really nice!
nice cinematic groove
