this song talks about loneliness, depression, suicide, being trapped inside yourself and thinking you can't escape... I have to say I hesitated alot before uploading this one... First of all, because it does not fully fit in this site, even though the instrumental would, but some people do post sung songs so I finally decided to. Whow! I didn't suspect this to be so good when I was reading your description, but after listening your song i'm quite amazed! I agree with rabauw about the piano intro, it's a little bit cliché indeed but after that there's one very nice song. Your singing capacity is really good and I like the little details like the flute:) Concerning the lyrics: Superb, very recognisable the way you describe it is really beautiful. Really nice work man!:)

Actually the strings went up but most of the other stuff was boosted too and the vocals now are a bit too high I have to change that... i should bave the vocals more into the music :) Maybe the emotions, there is less melody mixes than the first one, this one is more sequenced, maybe i'll go back to more melancolic mixed melodies like before...

here is my advice: next time don't hesitate to upload stuff like this...just DO IT. enjoyed it, only the reverb on the voice sounded a bit out of place.

Holy Sesame! This is AWESOME man! Like Reaman said, the voice is quite good, just when you try to hold a note there's some vibrato in it, but it has its charm :). Like you said, you are venting emotions. Pronunciation is pretty good, which, for me as a linguist by education, is always important. As for the music: it's very "ballad-like", starting off with the piano, then evolving deeper and deeper towards a climax with the guitar solos, all good. As for a negative comment, the piano solo at the beginning is soooo cliché dude, I mean not in general, but for a ballad that is. Another thing: the "dirty" guitar sounds too dirty in fact, I don't mind some contrast to the sound picture, but here you could clean up the guitar. But my man, you really are underestimating your vocal capacities, not so bad as you think, not at all. In fact, at certain points, your voice sounds akin to the singer in Anathema. I would claim this is one of the best songs I have heard on Ebel in a while, damn, fell in love with it right away. I even managed to sing along from the very first listen, once accustomed to the vocal melody. :) A deeply emotional piece, and it seems you and I think alike on certain aspects of life. If I look at your lyrics, damn, they take me back right away to some years ago, when I was going through a hard period, and would think like that nearly everyday...so, the song really speaks to me and affects my inner state. Definitely the best I've heard from you so far. Keep at this level, pal. This one goes straight into my favs!
