Well, been really busy with exams and lost a lot of stuff I started in end of 2003, so I decided it was time to try some new software. This song was more a way to progress through the learning curve than an atempt to make a genius piece of music, so in the end it's pretty dull and as repetitive as an highway! Anyway, some may like it, or not, I dont know.. any comments apreciated.
It's like a DOOM 1 theme remix :D Played that game a lot when I was young, the repetitive bass melodies are still stored in my head. The drums are nice, the bells too. The bass ok, but not 'woooot' Fruityloops? Qbase?
thanks for the comment. Was a mix between logic 5 and renoise. i hope i can get a good use out of logic soon, because seems like a real good program, but hard to learn
waaouuuu! your mastering is really good, is it a characteristic of Logic? your sound is really good. just a remark (that you already know) sometimes too repetitive. Please continue!
I dont think it's really a caracteristic of logic, but more the fact I spent 2 weeks tweaking the sounds to learn and try to get a good overal sound. Though I think it lacks some dynamic and I still need to learn a lot about compression and eq'ing to get it sound more pro.. The more practice the better anyway, the sounds already were ok in renoise (which is a tracker btw, but probably the best one out there) and I only changed some levels in logic.
its repetitive but maybe you can change that by adding another synth melodyline ? drums are very cool !!
