this was one of the two remixes i've submitted for the silenced remix contest. unfortunately, neither one got selected. original tracks can be found at www.silenced.be [shhht_01]. i have permission to upload this track. to let you know what i did to it: the original track is more minimal, less thumping grooves. the drumsequence is mine, but i used a lot of hermetico's samples in it. the inbetween part with fragments of strings, the bassline and the voice is all mine, as well as the sharp basssounds (which are actually C64 samples) after it. and i've reworked the brass sounds a bit (some reversed parts, some cuts) and added some extra effects to it. off course i reworked the buildup completely. done with ableton live.
i don't know much about techno nor do i know the original track, but i like it. You made very good use of those brass stabs, maybe use em a bit more? Good groove overall on the track.

Not bad track. Good work !
But I prefer the begin near 3.40, because I don't appreciate the next sound (basse like tektonic) with the flanger... I like your rythmic at the start (in particular the sound with the vocoder I guess).
