About

I've been listening to some new beat and early trance songs... Joey Beltram's 'Energy Flash' was a rediscovery for me. Started working with them classic sounds, some of them are cheesy if you use them now, but in some cases they can use a revival. When used in combination with the classic goth sounds like the synth strings and organs, it gets pretty interesting to me, but, as always, do judge for yourselves...

new Trimetrick song = me happy! like the intro, especially when the bass kicks in. the snare is a tad too metalic, but the trancy moog stuff is pretty neat. don't really like the 'bells' though. the trancy synth that starts at about 3:25 is cool, together with the bass. definitely not as in-tour-face as some of Trimetricks other stuff, but not bad. i think you succeeded of going back to the '90s and still keeping it up to date. smiley face :)

Thanks. It really was just some stuff to keep it in the fingers... Kate is a bit too busy with her studies, so she can't be bothered for a while...

Great sounding kick. For me, a bit too much distortion on the bass, although I know it was probably the intention. I agree with ElPietro on the snare, it would be great if you find a better sounding one. Really nice to hear the influence of Joey Beltram. The mix sounds powerfull. Hope to hear more songs like this one.
