i wanted to make IDM and this is what came out.... a melange of different styles (ambient, dnb, ...) so i don't know where to put it. It's a rather complex song with not always evident transitions. For the musically mature (ahum...) it contains a whispered sample of a female singer called De Benedictis (Magnatune) and some vocals and a guitarloop by myself. All rythm is own material (some existing loops that i reorganised and put some efx on) it's about a little bird in the freezing cold (but the music doesn't fit a little bird) The lyrics we're also going to be: when king winter rules you're just a little prince... but they didn't make it to the song. The title pleased me so i kept it. Tell me what section this should be in, please. edit: since no one does 'll change it into dnb (is not really so - contains dnb elements) - maybe we'll get some more audience then?
Strange song... But definetly a nice experiment! Just when the "ambient" part started to bore me a bit, the song switched back to the breakcore part, so that was good timing... Nice sound overall. I particularly like that "sweep sweep" sound that's appearing in the left channel. It really made me feel kindda cold, so it's doing justice to its title! Edit: if i were you, i'd put it in experimental... but i can tell you from my own experience, that's not the place were you're gonna attrackt lots of new listeners, lol
i love it...+ favs
isn't it cruel to see that the section in which a song is posted kills or makes the track? I'm going to be obliged to make some stupid breakcore or hardcore to get new listeners. It's a shame cuz' i always try to give new listeners a chance. Thanks anyway to those who stay loyal and at least give my songs a try. Eternal gratitude!!!
guud production ;) I agree with the category-problem. Just post everything in electro ;) I don't know all these categories very good, but I don't care. it's realy useless to discuss about categories.
allé, i didnt expect summn like this from u.. was very surprised, nice intro and the beats sound good also.. maybe u could play a bit more with fx on the beats ( a little reverb or distortion here and there.. ) btw i dont think you'll have to be obliged to make some 'stupid' hardcore or breakcore to get new listeners... there's just too much on this site: every day like 10 or 20 new songs, and to be honest 2 or 3 songs are worth it.... edit: why did ya change it to drumandbass? i think xprmntal was a good section ;) i really dont think u can reach more people by putting it in dnb, i think more people will say its not good ( i dont... :) ) but the majority of the people who'll listen to your track, thinking it's dnb, will be dissapointed and they will 'punish' u with multiple thumbs down.... ;) Re edit ;) : apperently... 0 thumbs down... my prediction was wrong..
I like a Lot this track !!! realy good job !!!
it was in experimental first and changed it for obvious reason.
yeahhh excelent dark work, love the voices, the sweep sounds with pan games, and the kinda unstructured beat... yep me likes a lot +1 :))
in flemisch,t'zin wel neuten, van die kick;in the intro, man my woofer almost jumped through my ears, nearffield moni's are at 70 cm from ear; besides that, when the music comes, its other kick i quit enjoyed it,greetz
sorry for your ears, cestqui, should always be carefull when i try something new!!! Cannot edit the text of my song so i do it here: the whispering is from De Benedictis As always (with most of songs) this song is "bourré", filled with a shitload of sounds and samples that as-i-may-so fall in place. The lyrics of the male voice are (as if you didn't understand): Hiding in the corner looking for some bread cannot cleanse your feathers icycles form instead Yeah, i know, it's not upgrade poetry but it does the job. btw: i don't sound that low, i downpitched it a little! thanks aphone!!
